We are semi-professional singers who are typically from a background of singing with choirs, pop groups, or amateur operatics. We share the single aim of providing entertainment to help charities and good causes free of charge. This helps combine our interest in music, in particular singing, with our desire to help others and bring some joy and fun into peoples lives! We have helped raise over thirty-seven thousand pounds for charities and good causes in the last 4 - 5 years. We deduct no expenses other than the cost of hire of any venue has to be paid from proceeds. We also provide free entertainment to Rest Homes, the Royal British Legion Holiday Home in Bridlington, and anywhere that we can help bring an evening of enjoyable entertainment to an audience that can be classed as a "Good cause".
People We have on average 40 singers involved with this project. Some are accomplished semi-professional solo singers. Others prefer to sing as part of a group of singers. We provide well rehearsed performances, separating voices into Soprano/Tenor/ Alto/Bass, putting in our own vocal harmonies and utilising "Build up of voices" techniques.
CHARITY SINGERSStarted as a project pioneering "Singers Only" Group performance of Classic Pop songs in Concert /Shows with a group inspired by Rob Mason in Driffield, East Yorkshire in November 2004 called "Middle 8". Rob then went on to found the much bigger group in Bridlington to which the project is now dedicated: "Bridlington Classic Pop Singers"
Bridlington Classic Pop Singers are a large group, with up to 30 singers attending each concert, who can give you a full concert / colourful show of classic pop song performances.
We find that for more mature audiences our tribute of the pop hits from the 1960's and 1970's is extremely popular. We also provide dramatised comedy performances of some of the more humorous or lively pop hits!
