We have received many verbal testimonials and "Thankyou" letters, for concerts performed by the singers associated with the "Charity Singers" project in concerts/shows performed since its inception on 17th May 2007. The "Charity Singers" are of course "Bridlington Classic Pop Singers". We are most certainly continuing to expand these activities and to date (December 2011) we have helped raise approximately £37500 for locally supported charities. We are one of the largest and most dynamic singing group to emerge in the Bridlington/ East Riding of Yorkshire area in recent years, having gained wonderful popularity and enthusiastic audiences. What we do is unique, ground-breaking , pioneering. We are not just a group of singers, but a performance group with dance, costume and dramatisation of some songs.
The main heart of our concerts is in the performance of Classic Pop Songs. Pop music is 50 years old, so even more mature audiences appreciate hearing again live performances of songs that were hits whilst they were in their teens and twenties.
The content of our concerts is based on lively, colourful and professional performance of pop music hits. Upbeat rock, soul, tamla, and pop hits are alternated by wonderful performances of slower pop ballads, swing, blues, soul.
We constantly hear the comments "What a refreshing change" "Wonderful" "Very Enjoyable"
